Our training and development projects are tailored to empower individuals, cooperatives, and SMMEs, equipping them with essential competencies and practical insights to drive success.
1. Entrepreneurship Training for SMMEs and Cooperatives
  • Location: Ugu (KwaZulu-Natal) and Waterberg (Limpopo) Districts
  • Participants: 475 entrepreneurs from SMMEs and cooperatives
  • Duration: 3-month accredited training programme (New Venture Creation)
  • Key Training Areas:
    • Entrepreneurship and Business Management
    • Marketing Strategies and Customer Engagement
    • Financial Management and Record-Keeping
    • Regulatory Compliance and Business Formalization
    • Customer Service and Sustainability
  • Impact: By the programme’s conclusion, every participant successfully developed a detailed business plan, enabling them to practically apply their newly acquired entrepreneurial skills and knowledge. This initiative significantly contributed to local job creation and economic empowerment.
2. Plant Production Learnership for Mamodikeleng Cooperative
  • Location: Ga-Sebati, Limpopo Province
  • Participants: 25 members (women-owned agricultural cooperative)
  • Accreditation: AgriSETA
  • Project Focus:
    • Theoretical training in plant production principles
    • Practical workplace-based experiential learning in grain and vegetable production
  • Impact: The cooperative members gained substantial expertise in agricultural productivity, enhancing their capacity to sustainably grow and manage their agricultural enterprise.
3. SAB Kickstart Urban Agriculture Programme
  • Participants: 10 urban agriculture trainees
  • Focus Areas: Principles and best practices of modern plant production
  • Objectives:
    • Equip trainees with practical skills for urban farming
    • Support trainees to effectively engage in sustainable urban agricultural practices
  • Impact: Participants acquired essential agricultural competencies, promoting food security and entrepreneurial opportunities in urban agriculture.
4. Community Works Programme (CWP) Skills Development
  • Location: North West Province
  • Participants: 340 trainees involved in the CWP initiative
  • Duration: 10-day skills programme (AgriSETA accredited)
  • Key Focus Areas:
    • Crop Production Techniques
    • Soil Conservation Practices
  • Objectives:
    • Strengthen agricultural productivity and sustainability within community initiatives
    • Build participants' capacities in foundational agricultural practices
  • Impact: The programme significantly improved participants’ agricultural skills and knowledge, positively impacting their local communities through enhanced agricultural outputs and sustainable practices.
