Musawenkosi Senda
(BAppSc, MBA, MM)

Executive Director

Musa Senda is a multifaceted leader with extensive expertise in leadership, business management, agriculture and agribusiness, project management, veterinary and medical laboratory management, and monitoring & evaluation (M&E). With a deep commitment to driving sustainable impact, Musa has successfully steered numerous agricultural and developmental projects towards measurable outcomes.

He holds a Master’s in Management Degree specializing in (Governance) Public and Development Sector Monitoring and Evaluation from the University of Witwatersrand, South Africa, alongside an Executive Master of Business Administration (MBA) and a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Applied Biochemistry. Musa further strengthens his capabilities with advanced training and certificates in evidence-informed decision-making, climate-smart agriculture, and quality assurance.

As an esteemed professional, Musa is a member of several prestigious organizations, including:
- South African Monitoring and Evaluation Association (SAMEA)
- Institute of Business Advisors (IBASA)
- Africa Evidence Network (AEN)

His leadership is pivotal in aligning Mabalengwe Agriculture’s strategic objectives with practical, evidence-based solutions that promote sustainable growth and innovation across the agricultural sector.

Tshepo Phaahla
(BTech)

Director

Tshepo Phaahla brings a wealth of practical experience and academic knowledge in agriculture and capacity-building initiatives. With a firm educational foundation, including a National Diploma in Animal Production and a BTech degree from the University of South Africa (UNISA), Tshepo has built a commendable reputation as an expert facilitator and mentor in agricultural skills development.

He holds qualifications as a Master, Mentor, Assessor, and Facilitator, reflecting his versatile skills in training, knowledge transfer, and capacity development. Additionally, Tshepo has completed specialized training and certifications in diverse agricultural areas, notably beef, pork, and dairy production, underscoring his comprehensive industry expertise.

Tshepo is particularly passionate about empowering commercially oriented livestock producers, with a strong focus on youth and small, medium, and micro-enterprise (SMME) development programs. His approach leverages deep industry insights and effective teaching strategies to nurture growth, sustainability, and commercial success along the agricultural value chain.
